1st Grade Conservation

First graders of Mrs. Andrepont's class have learned about landfills.  They want to keep landfills from getting bigger.  They discussed ways to keep waste out of landfills by conserving and re-using.  They use the backs of paper and use scraps of construction paper for other projects.  Plastic bags are reused and recycled.  Instead of using plastic water bottles that are thrown away after one use, they are using sport bottles that can be used over and over again.  Plastic containers from home are reused to hold items in the classroom.
