Here at the Academy of the Pacific we have an outdoor mural wall located near the main art classes. The mural wall can be viewed from a distance. The students and I collaborate on conceptualizing, preparing, and completing various mural images each year. Presently our art classes have been studying the printed images of Shepard Fairey. The current mural wall is a tribute to his work. The mural wall allows students to experience group decision making, and it challenges us to compose images on a larger scale.
