2D and action with medieval
b)
What game category or genre does your
game fall into? – Informative with the healthy learning and medieval with
Minecraft stuff like the blasters are bows and I added the Navrion knight

for? Who is your Player? – Steve is the
main character and this for people who like the game Minecraft and people who
play some types of medieval games maybe.
e)
What is the title of your game? –
Steve’s Healthy Challenge
2. Characters/Background Information/
Setting
- Who
are the characters in your game? – Steve, Crawdadsa (Daniel Carter’s
username on Minecraft), zombiemigit (Lane Mezger’s username on Minecraft,
the evil Skeleton, the zombies aren’t really characters but more like
obstacles
- What
is the role of each character (heroes, enemies, friends)? Include any
active objects that play a part in your game. – Steve, the main
character/you is trying to find healthy food and has to defeat the
skeleton to get to the food, the Skeleton is the bad guy along with his
zombies and he tries to kill Steve by first trying to poison him with
unhealthy food then tries to kill him in battle, Crawdadsa and zombiemidgit,
the side characters are informers that help you along the way in the game.
- What
is the “backstory” setting of your game? - Steve lives in a house and has
a book saying he shall explore around more
- What
additional background information would be helpful to the Player of your
game?
-Not much else.
3. Level Descriptions
- Describe
the starting title screen setup of your game. –Steve at his house after he
has looked at his book
- Describe
the layout for each level. – 1st level He is in his house and
then to the forest and to the entrance to a cave by cutting through the
forest. The 2nd level he travels through the cave and then
beats the skeleton to get out. The 3rd He find the food and
then he goes back to his house.
- Draw
the layout of your levels if it helps in your description. – I think I
described it pretty good it doesn’t change much within the levels
4. Game Play
- Describe the Player’s objective in the game. –To eat healthy
food and destroy the evil skeleton and his “minions”.
- Describe how the game is supposed to work including details
of scoring. –Killing the monsters in the 2nd level and the rest
you just go to the finish. - Describe
how the game changes over time (what is different about each level? How do
you beat a level?) – Well level 1 and 2 are different even though both
outside because the 1st level is mid-day and the 3rd
is sunset the 2nd is in a cave so you can’t tell if it is day
or night. - How
do you gain lives or power? How do
you lose lives or power? The zombies and skeletons hurt you and I put a
armor and bow (blaster) sprites in there and I used the Navrion knight (It
has a sword and a shield) to also kill in it. Then I put energy in the 2nd
level because he is getting really hungry.
- Describe
how a Player can win (or lose) the game. –You can’t die in the 1st
or 3rd level it is impossible there are no bad guys. But the
second has energy AND bad guys that is how you lose you win the 1st
and 3rd by getting to the goal block at the end. Then the
second you have to kill all the bad guys and not starve/ lose all your
energy. Then the healthy food at the end is for how you can take it if you
want just have to get to the goal block.
- What
are the challenges of your game? – The starvation and monsters that harm
you in the game
- What
makes your game original or unique? – It has Minecraft stuff and I made
some characters skeletons or zombies (Crawdadsa and zombiemidgit are not
monsters they are human)
5. Music/Special Effects
- What
type of basic music will be used in your game? – The 1st level
has peaceful music 2nd has “danger” music and then the 3rd
is moderate not too danger warning not too peaceful.
- What
special effects sounds would help the Player have a good experience with
your game? – None really I think it looks good like that I just wish that
the music coukd chage in the middle of the game or like it’s triggered.
- Your
game will have a minimum of three levels with at least two transition
screens. How many background musical
songs will you need? Plan it out. -
Probably 3 with the 5A question.
