By:
Story: Samuel the seal is tring to find his way back home, but Samuel is really lazy and unhealthy. Samuel realizes on his way back home that he needs to eat healthy to have energy to go home. The healthier he eats the faster he can get home.
Objective: Samuel has to eat healthy to get home.
Audience: All ages.
Team Members: Hazel, Jennifer, and Candace.
Lesson: For Samuel the seal to go home, he must eat helathy in order to have the energy to do so. In the game, Samuel eats apples and vegetbale baskets for energy and he has to lay off of the fries and other fatty foods or he'll die. The lesson learned in this is that people need to eat helthier foods and less junk so that they have energy to do the stuff they want to do. They also learn that if you eat healthy, your more likely to live longer than someone who doesn't. A good exampel is trying to use the food guide pyramid. The food guide pyramid shows that fruits and vegetables are much healthier than oils, grease, and fats. Grease, oils, and fats is the group you should eat the least amount of. While fruits, vegetables, grains, milk, and meat and beans groups give you more energy to do activities and should eat the average amount of servings, 2-5. Another good thing is to follow the health triangle. Emotional/Mental health, Social health, and Physical health. Have a good healthy diet, a healthy family communication, and haelthy emotional connections with family and friends. Keep with these healthy guidelines, and you will be healthy.
