Now Students Recycle at home!

Now Students Recycle at Home!

Have you ever heard of the 3 R’s?  That means reduce, reuse, and recycle.  Recycling is exactly what we do at Greenbriar Elementary!  My 5th grade science teacher helps the Earth by teaching kids to recycle.  Our Garden Club collects the recycle bins after the teachers put them out at the end of the day.  Some things that I use to see in the custodians trash cart, like water bottles and cardboard, I now see it in the recycle bins.

Recycling even pays off at home.  My mom and I recycle aluminum cans and water bottles.  We collect them  and once our bags are full we take them to a reimaging center, usually Kroger’s.  We are able to earn points.  We earned enough points to get two TJ Max gift cards.  We bought my sister a birthday gift!
