Project Title: Earth Day Gardening Project
Earth Day project on April 14
By:
Families who care about being good stewards of the Earth came to school on Saturday, April 14. Along with five Kohl’s employee volunteers, the families planted native plants such as zinnias and butterfly weed to attract butterflies. They also weeded the garden, planted sunflowers and other seeds, trimmed the rose bushes, spread mulch, and watered the garden.
While all this was going on in the garden, the Girl Scouts were collecting organic waste for the compost bin (Bronze Award Project).
Thank you to the Kohl’s employee volunteers who participated. Our school will receive a grant from Kohl’s for this Earth Day project.
