Activity: Students will use recycled items to build Geometric cities.

Purpose: For students to review Geometric shapes learned and use recycled items.

Who is involved: Entire class in groups

When: Feb. 2012

The students were put in groups according to a theme that they chose.  They worked together to create a pretend “city”, or “amusement park”.  They were to use any of the recycled geometric shapes that were brought in from home.  As a class we discussed the specific shapes we learned, and the importance of reusing items from home, to tie in with our Recycling Unit.
