Eco Virtual Fieldtrip

Some of our Eco-school teachers took time to make videos so students could see just what eco-friendly resources are available in our area . They went to eco-friendly and healthy choice restaurants like Galaxy Cafe. They also filmed at a really neat store called The Treehouse. We saw worm farms, rainwater collection tanks of all sizes, recycled materials used to make everything under the sun. We learned about zeroscaping to conserve water, and even how to grow our own food in small container gardens. What a great way for students to see what's out there and maybe even help them think of new ways they can conserve and preserve our natural resources.We also conserved gas and lessoned carbon emissions by not transporting all 650 students on school buses!
