Greenprint 2012-2013: Nature Adventure

  1. 1.    What is the name of your project:  School Courtyard Garden Planting:  Expanding the Garden using the 60 Bee Authentic Natural Garden Kits from the Earth Day Challenge Competition and Donating vegetables and herbs to the St. Paul Church Food Pantry
  • Bee Healthy: your own vegetable garden
  • Bee Tasty: your savory herb garden
  • Bee Happy: a cheerful sunflower garden
  • Bee American: a red, white and blue flower garden
  1. What is the goal/purpose of the project:  Increase knowledge of gardening, sustainability, flower and plant varieties.  The school garden will add aqua spikes and recycled plastic bottles to collect rainwater and directly water the plants. 
  2. Who will be involved in the project:  Pre-K – 8 students, teachers, and families
  3. How will you record the project (video, photos, PowerPoint, etc.):  Video, Photos, PowerPoint, Blog
  4. 5.   Do you have a budget for your project? How will you attain those finances? The aqua spikes were $30 for 12 spikes; the students will use recycled bottles, and the seeds are from the Green Ribbon School Earth Day Challenge Award from Bee Authentic
  5. What is the starting and ending date of your project?  09/20/12 – 06/20/13
