Turn Out the Lights! - Eco-Campus

We joined the NYC Department of Education's Green Cup Energy Challenge and continued our Turn Out the Lights! campaign for a second year.

Students made morning announcements, chanted the Turn Out the Lights chant, we posted Lights Out! signs around the school, audited classrooms daily, audited classrooms daily, and politely asked teachers to raise the shades in their classrooms and turn off the lights.

We achieved a 9.7% energy reduction during the campaign.
