Recycling Program

The AP Environmental Science Club (APES) developed a system of recycling paper goods as a way to build awareness across the campus.  Teachers have recycling bins in classrooms and twice a week the bins are picked up by APES students.  Students dispose of materials for the city to pick up in the campus recycling containers.  There are plans in the future to expand the paper goods recycling program to include a campus wide plastics recycling initiative, possibly moving to single-stream recycling.  Currently many teachers urge the students to recycle plastics however there is not a campus expectation at this point in time.
