Fun and Fit Field Day 2013
By:
Every year our school holds a field day in May so students can participate in physical activities and friendly competition. They prepare for this field day all year long in their physical education class. Throughout the year, they learn about skills, rules and good sportsmanship while participating in playing baseball, basketball, and volleyball. They build stamina and muscles while running 26.2 miles throughout the year as they participate in the Marathon Kids program. We used our playground equipment as an obstacle course where crawling, climbing, running and jumping are required.
This year our field day was held on Friday, May 24th under overcast skies and a cool breeze. It was a perfect day for playing outside. The schedule was as follows:
8:15- 9:55 PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade
10:05-11:45 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade
12:00-1:40 3rd, 4th and 5th grade
The events were:
1. Limbo
