Recycling Queens

10 5th grade girls started the Wyatt Recycling Queens in January.  Everyday they each had a job to collect all of the recycling bins throughout the school.  At the end of the semester our school recycled more than 65,000 pounds of product.  We are are very proud of these girls and their effort on a daily basis. 

In addition to paper recycling, Wyatt kids recycle bottles and cans through Reimagine Recycling, juice pouches and chip bags through Terracycle, and glue sticks and cartridges as well.  In chip bags and juice pouches , Wyatt has earned 17,026 points with Terracycle and in bottles and cans, Wyatt has earned 9971 points with MyCokeRewards through Reimagine Recycling.  Way to go Wallaroos!!!
