Campus Beautification
By:
Each year the Environmental Science classes at Eisenhower High School pick a beautification project to do as part of their Earth Day gift to the School. We do this to teach the students about stewardship. In the past we have completely renovated garden areas. This year we were fortunate enough to have a family donate 8 yards of mulch for the Memorial Garden court yard. We started the project by weeding this area and the area around the front entrance of the building. Once the mulch arrived, the wood and auto shop students joined in to help spread the mulch. We were able to accomplish the weeding within two class periods and then it took another two class periods to spread the mulch. We had approximately 20 students (sophomores and juniors, the seniors had already completed the school year) and 3 staff supervisors to accomplish these tasks.
