Family Fitness Night

WLES families were invited on Jan. 24, 2013 to participate in a Family Fitness Night. Over 100 students and parents attended the event. The night began with a guest speaker who spoke about health tips and the importance of keeping children moving. After the presentation, the families participated in different stations and activities including the following:
Rope Climbing
Bowling
Scooter Races
Jump Ropes
The night ended with an activity called “Build a Bridge”. Families were challenged to work together and
cross the gym without falling off the objects or touching the floor. The night was a huge success and the feedback from parents was positive. Our PE teacher already has plans for next year and we are planning to increase this special event to two nights next year. One will be in the fall and the other the spring.
