Courtyard Garden

The vegetables in the Courtyard Garden from the Spring planting by the St. Paul Interparochial School Pre-K - 8 students were harvested. Some of the vegetables in the harvest included cabbage, tomatoes, beets, pumpkins, cantaloupe, and more.
Maintaining the Courtyard Garden
The St. Paul Interparochial School Prek-K - 8 students maintain the vegetables gardens in the school Courtyard Garden planting areas. The planting areas are weeded, Earthworms are added to the soil, seeds and plants are planted, compost tea is used for fertilization, and the vegetables are harvested. Students maintain the garden for Winter so it will be ready in Spring.
Spring Planting
Students in Grades PreK - 8 plant vegetables and fruits for Spring and Summer Harvest. Students planted blueberries, grapes, tomatoes, potatoes, spinach, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, and more. The Summary Harvest is used in the school Summer Camp Culinary Program promoting sustainability.
