James Williams Elementary Red Ribbon Week
By:
James Williams Elementary participated in National Red Ribbon Week, a drug and violence prevention campaign, October 28 - November 1, 2014. A flyer describing the upcoming activities and a paper hand was sent home with each student a week before the Red Ribbon Week. The children decorated the paper hand cutout to characterize how they viewed kindness and friendship, and they were displayed on the JWE PTA bulletin board. The title read "Taking a Stand and Lending a Hand" to reinforce the principle of no bullying in school. The JWE PTA Youth Protection Committee planned the following fun and engaging activities in order to bring the important message of anti-drugs and anti-bullying to our community.
