We took four fourth grade classes to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science on March 21, 2014. I applied for a school grant online and we received a $5.00 grant per student to cover a classroom interactive lab . The program offers a broad range of content for all age groups with topics including what is electricity, diffetrrence between static and current electricity, direct and alternating current, electromagnetism, conductors and insulators, plasma, circuits, transformers, Ohm's law and Joule's law. The presenter was a ery dynamic and engaging speaker. The kids especially enjoyed the exploxion and the light bulb trick. At this age anything that explodes is cool! We brought 80 students and 12 chaperones. Our group toured the various levels that were inspired through nature and science. The offer kiosks that help students connect with scientific concepts and principles. Among these we visited the Rose Hall of Birds, Expanding the universe Hall, The Hunt Energy Hall and the Gems and Minerals Hall.
It was very crowded but worth the visit. perotmuseum.org
