Endangered/Invasive Species

By:

4th grade Supernova students walked to Spring Lake, the head waters to the San Marcos River to explore the natural space. Students began with a research project investigating the endangered species living in the SM river and then continued on with invasive species. Students completed iMovies on the invasive species. The students then went on a walk to visit the head waters and walked along the wetlands space and tested the quality of the SM river by identifying organisms living in the river water. They also were able to observe endangered species in aquariums in the Spring Lake facility run by Texas State University.
