In celebration of Earth Day 2014, the PTA Environmental Committee at Carpenter Hill Elementary decided to replace dead trees to help beautify the campus.  Four adults and three children took part in this activity.  Two large cedar elms were donated and two desert willows were bought.  Both types of trees will survive the Texas heat and are water-wise.  Two tree watering bags were bought for the two large cedar elms.  All trees were finished off with mulch and then staked.

Tree planting was a huge success and our desert willows are already blooming for the summer.
