Family Fitness Night

Monday, April 14 Willis Lane hosted Family Fitness Night. We had 115 students participate along with their parents and siblings. The gym and the cafeteria were set up in the following stations:
- - Cupstacking
- - Bowling
- - Rope climbing
- - Hoppers
- - Basketball
- - Scooters
- - Hula hoops
- - Bean bag toss
- - Mile walk course
- The stations were set up so that students and their family members participated. The families were given information about the station and the health benefits of each activity. Our PE teacher is working to promote families spending time together on healthy activities.
- As a school, we also send out Nutritional Nuggets each month which suggests activities for home. Because of the positive feedback from the families and the value of promoting family time combined with fitness, we plan to have more than one Fitness Night next school year.
