Spread of Infection

When I started this game, was intended to be for kids ages 8 to 14. It is simple enough to play without needing years of experience but difficult enough to present something of a challenge for older kids. I worked to create this game using a computer program called "scratch." It was not my first time using this program, but never before have I used it for something like this. I really had to know what I could do with scratch to complete this game; the limitations as to what a two dimesional character can do are slightly difficult to work around for a beginner. Because this game had to somehow be health related, I created it to show just how easily germs can spread in a school. When a sick kid goes to school, they have an extremely high chance of spreading their germs and making other kids sick, because most children don't worry too much about personal space or, let's face it, personal hygiene. So I made this game's main character a germ. This germ hitches a ride to school with a student after getting them sick. Schools are the perfect place for germs to spread and multiply because kids touch everything and clean nothing. As the germ you fire off your spores to healthy kids that you pass in school, effectively getting them sick and racking up points at the same time. While there are no obstacles that you have to avoid or destroy, as a player progress through the levels, the time they have to score points shortens and the kids that they are aiming at to score points start moving faster. To progress through the levels, you must score a certain amount of points, in a certain amount of time, for three levels to accomplish your germ's "goal" of infecting all of the kids in school.
