Wildlife Appreciation Results

By:

Students created games of their choosing which would develop an appreciation for nature. The concept that people have to be in nature in order to understand it and they must understand it in order to care about preserving it. The children picked animals and plants they liked and used them in their games.  When we played the games the students discovered animals and plants that they had not noticed before.  Playing the games acheived our goal of exposing people to nature and developing an interest in the nature surrounding them. Students learned about 12 different types of native plants and 7 different animals surrounding school grounds.
