Healthy Eating

Story- You just woke up in a new world that’s bent on healthy eating! Hm… wonder who’s behind all of this? Go through five levels that include different groups of unhealthy foods. Good luck!


Objective- Beat all five levels of unhealthy food! **note; avoid the potato chips**


Audience- This game is directed toward younger children ages 7-10.

Health Lesson- This game teaches kids about healthy eating, and keeping a balanced diet. This simple concept is often hard to stick to, but important nonetheless. A main food group is grains; you need at least 2-3 servings of whole grain per day. Grains give you sustained energy to last you throughout the day. Fruits and vegetables contain a wide variety of vitamins and minerals that are essential to your health. Try to eat many different colors of both groups, as they’re rich in many different vitamins and minerals. The protein group contains nuts, meat, and eggs. You need a substantial daily protein intake so your body can produce enzymes and keep muscles and skin healthy. Go for the foods such as fish or nuts in the group. Dairy products such as milk and cheese are high in calcium which contributes to strong bones and teeth. Now, unhealthy foods are okay if eaten sparingly. But keep in mind that they are high in saturated fats and high fructose corn syrup. So go out there and be healthy! [image] fdfgd
