The school garden which we began a couple of years ago is transforming yearly. Last year the garden was redesigned with swales and berms to harvest rain water. This year the after-school garden club was able to harvest artichoke as the new vegetable. The students learned enjoyed the usual herbs such as basil, peppermint, oregano, and rosemary. They were able to eat strawberries, peaches, and blackberries right off the vines.
