Schoolwide recycling/compost

One of our third grade classes took on the job of taking the school’s recycling out to our recycling dumpster weekly. We constructed special stairs for the students to be able to reach the dumpster safely.  Our cafeteria recycles and composts amost all waste daily.  As a result, each classroom uses no more than 1 small trash can of trash daily.
