Go, Slow, Whoa

3 times a year our students participate in Wolverine Camp which includes a section for learning to lead a healthy lifestyle. The curriculum and instruction was created by our PE teachers. The students learned about Go, Slow and Whoa foods, learned how to read nutrition labels, the importance of water of water intake, and Basal Metabolic Rate. We also had a family activity night, where we focused on teaching our students and families how to have a healthier lifestyle and have fun while doing it! All of our students participated in Fitness Gram and our results showed that our students are continuing to move into a healthy BMI.
