Community Gardens

Kindergarten, first, and second grades are enjoying learning about various organisms and their systems as they study parts of the plant and the plant's basic needs. Kyle Elementary School has a great garden area where students are able to plant seeds and then observe different plant life cycles as the seeds germinate and grow to produce flowers and fruit. Students are able to talk about and watch important pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds as they word their special magic with the plants. This unique area with it's ran barrels also helps to teach students the importance of conserving water and first hand experiences with the water cycle.
