Raised Bed Vegetable Garden
Raised Bed vegetable gardening takes very little space and allows vegetables to be grown close together. It is a great way to grow vegetables especially if the garden soil is poor or compacted or has poor drainage. There is no bending over to pull weeds or harvest vegetables.
The benefits of a Raised Bed Garden
Benefits of raised bed gardening, also called garden boxex, are great for growing small plots of veggies and flowers. They keep pathways and weeds from your garden soil, prevent soil compaction, provide good drainage and serve as a barrier to pests such as slugs and snails.
Students were able to build their own raised gardens from the bottom up. Students made the bed, brought in the soil, and were able to plant several vegetables.
