Trash-Free Lunch Earth Week 2011

Tuesday, April 19, was Trash-Free, or Waste-Free, lunch.  The objective of this day was to encourage students and their families to think of creative ways to pack their lunches without creating any trash. 

Students got a kick out of sharing a variety of different ways to use containers for lunch.  For those students that opted to purchase lunch, they were encouraged to make selections in the cafeteria line only choosing foods they would eat and not throw away.
