Students from our council were involved in our county Relay for Life.  Students chose the theme CRUSH CANCER.  Their team name was the HOT TAMALES while their slogan was "Hot Tamales working to CRUSH Cancer."

The team sold shirts in various colors prior to the event.  They also sold some extra shirts at the relay.  An official CRUSH CANCER shirt day was established throughout the campuses and community.  So many from all around wore their shirts.

Information and posters were distributed around the community to help encourage and educate people on the reasons why cancer research is so important.

At the event, the Hot Tamales sold Tamales and Crush Drinks which were donated by local community members. 

The team was also in charge of Relay for Life Lap Events and Organization.

Breakfast was provided by our team.  A trophy was given to the best team of the event.  All were encouraged to sign the FIGHT BACK BANNER.
