At Wakeland High School, members of Student Congress partcipate in recycling around the campus. By allowing this group to possess leadership qualities, they are not only helping out the environment but also setting the precedence for the student body. Recyling is done once every other week. Student council recycles paper, bottles, aluminum, plastic bags, batteries and occasionally clothes.
