International Walk to School Day!

An estimated 200 Doss Elementary students celebrated International Walk to School Day on October 5, 2011.  Doss students were encouraged to walk or ride their bike to school as a healthy alternative to riding in the car.  Our community is also encouraging students to walk or ride after the City of Austin recently installed new bike lanes and hired another crossing guard at a major neighborhood intersection creating safer routes to school.  Take a look at our group photo taken this morning with our Green Ribbon School's banner!
