Paper Recycling Program

By:

Each classroom will be given a small blue recycling bin. These bins are to be used for the collection of waste paper as  listed below. These bins will then be emptied into the large blue bins with wheels located next to the library book drop box on the first floor, and in the second floor copy room.

This program should reduce the amount of waste currently going into our dumpsters, as well as reduce the monthly trash bill that currently exceeds $500.00 per month. For each ton of paper recycled, seven full grown trees are saved from harvesting.

The following types of paper can be placed in your blue recycling bin:

Notebook Paper

Copy Paper/Colored and White

Letterhead/Stationery/Church Bulletins

Envelopes (plastic window are ok)

Index Cards

Business Cards

Coated/Slick paper (such as brochures, children's books, post cards)

Construction Paper

Notebooks

Posters

**Staples and paper clips are acceptable** No large metal clips, metal or plastic spiral ring binders
