Every fall Green Valley Gators participate in an exciting fundraiser while promoting physical fitness. Scholars seek pledges for each lap completed or flat donations. Green Valley receives 100% of the profits.  Each scholar runs or walks one of two circuits set up for the Gator Run-A-Thon.  Scholars run and walk for approximately one hour with their grade level to the sounds of inspiring and energetic music.  Scholars’ t-shirts are marked after each lap they complete.  Top runners, fundraisers and special awards are handed out to recognize their efforts.  The money raised is used to buy items needed for our school such as P.E. equipment to help our scholar’s become physically fit, technology, guest speakers, and to pay for teachers to attend workshops.
