Subject specific TEKS  01SC02 Asked questions about organisms, objects and events observed in the natural world. Introduced the Eco-school concept, presented power point about our Eco-school classes and planned activities. Gave directions for scavenger hunt including clipboards to draw and write descriptions of discoveries. Took classes outside, engaged in conversations with students about thier discoveries.

Students lists included :

A leaf, a twig longer than your thumb, signs of a spider, an ant hill, plants in a sidewalk crack, insects in a sidewalk crack, signs of a bird or a bird, an interesting rock.

Follow-up lesson "What did you notice?" and "What can you do outside at home?"
