The AP Environmental Science class goes to the Fort Worth Nature Center every year when studying the chapter on water quality. While there, they are able to conduct multiple water quality tests in an interactive classroom setting. These tests include pH, water turbidity, soil porosity, nitrates, dissolved oxygen, dissolved solids, BOD, and fecal coliform. They used the canoes to go out into the lake in order to conduct the tests.
