Eco-Classes Carry-on
By:
Our Eco-Classes took on issues like Climate Change, Carbon Footprint, Consumption and Waste, Energy, Green Hour, Summer Green Hour, Transportation, Greening our school Grounds, and Water Conservation in our year-long comprehensive study of how we can make a difference in our world. Our Fuentes Mission and Objectives are supported through our Eco-Classes and Green efforts. We only highlighted a few of our efforts on the Green Ribbon site, but participated in many more schoolwide projects. ex. Our efforts of continued improvement in waste management. Last year we started single stream recycling and composting as a pilot school in our district. We were so successful the entire district chose to participate this year. We continue to decrease our poundage of trash that goes into the landfill, by increasing our recycling efforts and composting all materials from our cafeteria that can be composted. Our students even brought the efforts home and the city of Kyle approved single stream recycling for the community!
