Having been one of the first schools to implement the commercial composting and single-stream recycling offered by Texas Disposal Systems, we got started on diverting as much waste as possible in or cafeteria, classrooms and other parts of campus. We organized a "How to make your school Least Waste" workshop for PTA volunteers in October of 2011. Jason Sanders from Texas Disposal Systems presented and took questions from PTA "green" volunteers from more than a dozen schools in attendance.
