Drug Free

Sixth Grade Math students led by their teacher, Mrs. Flanagan, joined the Ramsey Alliance Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse, a local community health program to send the message that St. Paul Interparochial School is Drug Free.  Students started with a coordinate plane in the classroom mapping out the ordered pairs for the words "Drug Free."  They then went outside with chalk and meter sticks and made a large scale model of their coordinate plane.  The students plotted the ordered pairs, connected the dots and created their life-sized message.  The teachers and entire student body stood on the chalk lines and curves to send their message.  The students were lucky enough to have their picture taken from above to get the full effect!  The picture was taken by Mr. Tuite, a sixth grade father from a cherry picker.
