Thursday packets only go out to the youngest student in the school for each family instead of all students.  This helps reduce the amount of paper used and printing.  Also, a member of the environmental committee saved 500 sheets of paper by making a former two page SAGE document for Thursday packets into a one page sheet.  She then guided parents to register on-line if possible or ask her for the form.
