Gardens at the Green Magnet

The Green Magnet has developed three garden areas: 

1.  Pollinators' Garden

2.  Staircase Perennial & Fern Garden

3.  Staircase Sunflower & Vegetable Garden

Our Pollinators' Garden is used by Science classes and English Language Arts classes.  Students in both Science and English go out and made scientific observations about plants, insects, and birds. 

Our Perennial Staircase Garden was begun a year ago, and is flourishing this year.  The Fern Garden section has expanded.  Students have been working and maintaining the three gardens. 

We received a Grow to Learn grant, which has enabled us to work with Queens Botanical Garden on the gardens.
