Sky Ranch- Ranch Life

One class that students enjoyed at Sky Ranch Science Camp during their visit on March 6th-8th was the ranch life experience. Students were able to become a "cowboy/cowgirl" and learn what life is like on a real Texas ranch.  They spent time in the organic garden discovering natural farming methods, as well as decomposition and nitrogen fixation. They were able to tend ranch animals, such as cows, goats, pigs, horses and even llamas in the petting zoo. They learned how to ride a horse, rope a bull model and participated in an actual trail ride.
