Garden Club

Students have created an after school garden club which has been meeting once a week. During this time students have worked on raised beds, planted seeds as well as vegetable plants, and have learned how to grow food which is healthy for them. They have gained the opportunity to plant, grow, and care for their own food. A guest chef visited and helped them prepare some of the produce out of their garden. Kale, broccoli, okra, squash, and cabage did well this past year. Students valued their time in the garden which was a nicely developed area for other regular classes to enjoy.
