This project is a wchool wide activity. The ninth grade students are responsible for it, and each ninth grade student has a compost bin for a specific grade level. The ninth grade student and their specified grade level  have the responsibility of maintaining a compost bin. The compost  bin contains red worms, soil, newspaper and tolerable waste products to feed the worms. Each ninth grade student is responsible for monitering what is put into the compost bins. If the class we are in charge of has waste they want to put in the bins, the individual comes to the ninth grade student and washes it off and puts it in to feed the worms. We moniter the worms every week and dampin their enviornment so they do not dry out. The purpose of this project is so that our school will have less lunch waste.
