Garden Club
By:
This year the Negley School Garden Club has revamped the garden by created a more sustainable and classroom usable gardening beds. We started by making new wicking beds which helps conserve water and hopefully keep our school garden nourished through the summer. All beds were made of recycled materials. We have also learned about creating murals by making our garden shed a lovely delight. Got the purple martins to come by adding in a bird house and kept our garden rabbit fed by provided some green grasses to eat. The students spent one whole class learning about perimeters by creating a round sunflower garden! The 20 kids this year have shoveled and moved pea gravel, learned to use power tools to build, hauled dirt, dug holes, planted and painted their hearts out!
