Campus Recycling Compost Program

Negley Elementary partners with Texas Disposal Systems to implement a composting and recycling program in our school.  Items from lunch trays are sorted by students in different trash cans.  The amount prevented from entering the landfill is. 

Compost- approx. 17 cubic feet/day or 128 gallons/day

Recycle- approx. 4.3 cubic feet/day or 32 gallons/day
