With the increased use of electonic devices on campus, batteries are in high demand.  To ensure proper disposal of used batteries, the PTA Environmental Committee has set up two collection locations at school.  One bucket is located in the upstairs teacher workroom and another is placed in the downstairs workroom.  When the bucket is full, the batteries are collected and an Environmenatal Committee Member transports them to the Wimberley landfill that properly disposes of the batteries.  Eight buckets have been collected this year and we have properly disposed of 80 pounds of batteries.
