Health Curriculum in Elementary

Upon recommendations from the SHAC committee, time was found in the teaching schedule to devote to health education.  Students are now receiving 45 minutes of instruction in health each Friday.  The instructor is utilizing The Great Body Shopcurriculum to instruct K-6 students.  Students are now more aware of health issues and how important good health is to their well being. 

It is the goal of Aspermont Elementary that the health instruction that students are now receiving will benefit them throughout their lives.  By making elementary children aware of the benefits of good health at an early age, our students will be able to draw upon that knowledge to make good decisions as they progress through their educational careers.
