Drea & the Duck Egg

By:

by Gia, age 5 (as told to my mom, Chrissy)

[image] Philippines - Drea

My sister Drea and I took our first trip to the Philippines to spend time with our family.

We also got to taste all kinds of amazing foods and learn about our family traditions.

In the photo, Drea is eating balut.

Balut is a fertilized duck egg.

It is a common street food in the Philippines.

It can be eaten with salt/vinegar.

I think she liked it!
